Can I use LED bulbs in flush mount ceiling light fixtures?
Yes, if the flush mount has a socket and the LED matches that base and the fixture listed maximum. Use an LED marked for enclosed fixtures when the shade is closed. A sealed integrated flush mount has no socket. Do not exceed the wattage printed in the socket. The equivalent-watt number is not the socket limit. The actual LED wattage is.
- Read the base: E26, E27, E12, or E14.
- Stay at or under the max rating in the socket.
- Choose a dimmable LED only on a matching dimmer.
- For a closed bowl, use a lamp marked for enclosed fixtures.
